In this quote we can see Biff's desire of being in the "nature". Even though he is talking about other people's life, there is still a strong sense of his own life in it. His been working hard and try to work his way through the bussiness world. However he felt trapped by the "city life", and all he really want is to be free. We can deduce that, Biff may had a thought about the city lifestyle and came with a clusion that it someting that you have to do, no matter how much you dislike it. In this stage, he seems like someone that is helpless but he doesn't have the courage to break the cycle of the expectation of the world. I think what influenced him alot with that idea is Willy. Willy is always wanting Biff to become something great and bug. Hence, as a result even though Biff doesn't like the city life, he stil think it is someting that he has to do. Therefore, deep inside Biff he still want his father to be proud of him. This reveals his admiration and Willy's importance inside Biff.
